Rooney Mara clearly has a complicated relationship with bangs. Of course, she had to deal with awkward choppy ones for months after shooting the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo movies. Then at the Los Angeles Film Festival she went out with her bangs swirled into a...what do I call this? Let's go with hair beret.

Hey, it's creative, at least—you've got to give her and her hairstylist props for that. But does this look silly or cool? I'm on the fence. On the one hand, it's kind of nice to see a different shape in a hairstyle. On the other, she looks like she's wearing a hair beret. So...yeah.
